Rurouni Kenshin-Short Review

95 Episodes Over 3 Seasons (27, 35, 31 too many) A Huge Disappointment As With Everything About It,Season 3 Is Only One Box With All Volumes Stacked In One Hole With Very Little Detail On The Disks Themselves. The Previous Seasons Do Have Some Mix-Ups In The Volumes (I Watched Volume 4 Before 3 For Season 1 As The Front Disk Was Volume 4) With No Episode Numbers On The Menu.Volume 6 Of Season 2 Was Also Misplaced. That and The Abnormally Long Loading Times From Anime Works Logos Made It Quite Frustrating At Times. For 95 U$D,I Expected Much More.

Scores Will Be: Season 1/Season 2/Season 3/Overall

Art/Animation: B+/A/A (A)
The Only Aspect Of The Series That Improves Even Ever-So-Slightly In Season 3.The Various Backgrounds, Images and Drawings Are Outstanding At Times,Very Solid At Others. The Characters All Look Very Realistic; Westerners are Well Defined As Such. The Women Lacking Sex-Appeal Is My Only Critic As Far As The Art Goes.

Story: A+/A+/B- (A)
An Epic,Enchanting Storyline Filled With Creative Back Stories For Characters and the Historical Context.Season 3 Lacks The Epic Feel Of The Previous Two and Seems Like a Train Moving Without Tracks.Little Interludes Of One-Shot Episodes,a Few Multi-Episode Mysteries and Back Again To Random,Usually Boring Nonsense.

Voice Acting: A/A/A (A)

Big 3 Booming Voices:Jamieson Price,Beau/John Billingslea and Michael McConnohie.
Wendee Lee,Plus The Addition Of Steven Jay Blum, Crispin Freeman In The 3rd Series.

Music: B+/B/B

Fan Service: C-/C+/C

Kenshin Himura: A True Samurai,Kenshin Is Loyal,Dependable,Friendly To All No Matter Their Class Or Origin.Outside Of Battle,He Is Portrayed As a Slightly Clumsy Polite Young Man (He Does Not Sound Nor Look 28 At All).Contrary To Most Do-Gooders In Other Series That Drive You Crazy With Speeches About Freedom,Rights and "Doing The Right Thing" Kenshin Just Saves The Day Without Making a Big Fuss Out Of It.Richard Hayworth/Cansino

Kaoru Kamiya:
Dorothy Melendrez/Elias-Fawn

Sanosuke Segara:
Lex Lang

Yahiko Myojin:

Megumi Takami:
 Jane Alan

Saito Hajime:
Kirk/Sparky Thornton
