Darker than Black  with my friend Alex Noir I have to say that so far Noir is a much better anime than statistics and reviews on most anime sites would dictate. Of course I was drawn to it as it takes place in France, my cousin country and Mireille Bouquet looked "hot" and HOT she is! So far (I have only watched two episodes last night) what has impressed me so far is the music: a highly stylized classic anime style laced in with some light techno for a very entetaining feel for a spy/espionnage series that cannot be reduced to the usual "guns with girls" series and the trilogy it forms with Madlax and El Cazador de la Bruja . In closing: calling it a "girls with guns" series is insulting an anime of this caliber. I am almost regretting not getting the recent Blu-Ray version before watching the series but again, reviews were quite terrible. One must remember the animation quality of most recent series has improved dramatically since 2001.
